Happy Tails
Below are just a few amazing stories of our animals finding their forever homes!
ReggieReggie's story reminds us of the power of love and patience with every animal rescued from abuse + neglect. Landon and Stella stepped up to foster precious Reggie who was pinned to the ground in fear at a very rural shelter in Oklahoma. (video) He absolutely blossomed with them and Landon decided to give Stella the best birthday present ever by adopting Reggie into their family !!! Best. Birthday. Present. Ever.

Mama Lee
Mama Lee and her SEVEN puppies were on the euthanasia list before Joe & Jessica graciously offered to save them! They cared for Mama Lee and her babies through mange, respiratory illness, eye tumor surgery, nursing babies, and more. Mama Lee went through a lot of trauma and then once her babies were adopted she was looking for a home of her own. Well.... her foster parents decided that they couldn’t part with her and have ADOPTED her themselves!!! Yasssssss!!! Welcome Home Mama Lee !!!!
Cody
Cody was rescued from a "breeder" in 2018 who was selling him + his brothers with CHOPPED ears. Nicole offered to foster Cody despite his many health issues -- internal and external ear infections (vet believes his ears were cut without even Tylenol), skin fungus, internal and external parasites. Cody needed so much care and had many vet appointments. Cody never stopped being a pup and was "just happy," his mom says. Nicole knew it was going to be a foster fail after his first meet + greet with potential adopters. "Cody is my nugget. He chose me to be his Mom and although I am not a puppy person, I couldn't be happier," says Nicole. I wouldn't have it any other way!!!!!
Hobble
Our precious tripod (he was born this way , his leg looks like an adorable chicken wing!) was left at the shelter by his owners. We brought him into our program and today he finds himself adopted by a family who couldn't adore him more !!!! Welcome Home Hobbles!!
DUCHESS
Parvo Survivor Duchess has found her happily ever after!! This sweet little girl is so strong and is off to be pampered by her new mom and 3 human siblings !!! Welcome Home Duchess!!
VIVI
Vivi was the tiniest dog at the pound when she was owner surrendered. She was very scared and needed someone to help her out of there QUICKLY! Luckily Country Roads was notified upon her arrival and we were so happy to help her out. Now Vivi is off to live with her amazing forever family of six humans who absolutely adore her! Happy tails Vivi!
Chance
Country Roads longest resident found his forever home today!!!! Chance was pulled from the euthanization list in June & has been nursed back to health by his wonderful foster family. He has now found his forever family and is going to spend his days RVing around the country! Happy Tails Chance!!!
Huck
The day Huck was owner surrendered at the shelter, we happened to be there and snatch him up just in time. His original owners had passed away and his caretakers could no longer provide for him. Not only did he have the shortest stay at the shelter, he had the shortest stay in a foster home. He was immediately adopted by his foster family who is absolutely crazy about him. Huck is one lucky guy!!
